INEC declared incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke (Accord Party) the winner of the Osun governorship election.

Final results:
- Adeleke (Accord) — 511,067 votes
- Bola Oyebamiji (APC) — 444,815 votes
- Najeem Salaam (ADC) — 17,180 votes

Adeleke won 19 out of 30 local government areas; APC took 11. His biggest margins came from the Ede axis (Ede-North and Ede-South alone gave him a combined advantage of over 45,000 votes). He had described himself as a “bulldozer” before the election and dismissed concerns about federal might.

3. Pension remittances plunge 38%

Nigeria’s pension contributions under the Contributory Pension Scheme fell sharply by 38% to ₦559 billion in Q1 2026, according to PenCom.
