The newly appointed Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Joash Amupitan, will hold his inaugural meeting with the Commission’s Directors immediately after his official swearing-in on Thursday, October 23, 2025.
According to a statement issued by Wilfred Ifogah, Deputy Director of Publicity, on behalf of the Director of Voter Education and Publicity (VEP), the meeting is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at the Conference Hall of the INEC Headquarters in Abuja.
The meeting will mark Professor Amupitan’s first official engagement with INEC’s top management team since assuming office.
It is expected to set the tone for his leadership direction, policy priorities, and strategic focus as the Commission prepares for forthcoming electoral activities nationwide.
