Two inmates at Miami-Dade’s Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center managed to conce!ve a ch!ld without ever meeting in person.
According to reports, the two—Joan Depaz and Daisy Link—used improvised tools made from bedsheets to pass items through a shared cell vent. Depaz reportedly wrapped his s*men in Saran wrap and sent it through the makeshift line, which Link retrieved. She then used a ye@st !nf€ct!on applicator to apply it to h€rs€lf, repeating the process multiple times until she became pr*gnant.
Incredibly, Link gave b!rth to a healthy baby girl in June.
Both inmates, who are facing m*rder charges, are now housed separately but continue to video-call their daughter regularly. In response to the incident, Miami-Dade Corrections has launched an internal investigation and revised its security measures to prevent similar situations in the future.
