Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso has said Victor Boniface is itching to get back on the pitch. Boniface has been out since January with a groin injury. The striker picked up the injury in the Super Eagles camp ahead of the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire. He could make his long awaited return on Wednesday in the German Cup semi-finals against Fortuna Dusseldorf.
