LSU women’s basketball head coach Kim Mulkey is prone to making headlines. Sometimes for the right reasons, and a lot of times for the wrong reasons.
On Monday night, she made waves not because of anything she said or did, but instead due to what she wore during the team’s game.
Fans were taken aback by what many called a “ridiculous” outfit.
Viewers were not kind when it came to talking about the outfit.
Angel Reese’s LSU have lost three of their last five games
While Mulkey’s outfit was the talking point, her team continued a concerning trend. LSU lost to unranked Mississippi State, marking their second straight loss.
It’s their second loss in the last five games to an unranked opponent after they had won 12 games in a row.
After the game, Mulkey called out her team for not being able to “defensively get stops when they matter”.
Star player Angel Reese did her best to get the win, putting up 20 points, 18 rebounds and five steals. Still, it wasn’t enough for the Tigers.
They face the Florida Gators at home for their next game on February 4.
