A P&O cruise ship collided with an oil tanker off the coast of Spain, injuring some passengers on board.
There had been thousands of cruise passengers on board Britannia, the flagship of the P&O fleet, when it was hit by a storm off Palma de Mallorca on Sunday.
Footage posted to social media reveals the ship rocking in excessive winds and breaking free after the mooring holding it broke.
The ship was then blown by the winds in the direction of the opposite ship.
Some cruise passengers have been injured by falls or flying particles.
There had been 74mph winds and torrential rain in Mallorca, with an orange climate warning in place throughout the island on Sunday.
A technical evaluation carried out after the accident revealed {that a} lifeboat was broken and couldn’t be repaired.
P&O mentioned 321 visitors would return house sooner than deliberate because the ship returns to Southampton, UK, with fewer individuals on board as is what’s required by maritime legislation.
